About the Event

Hi ladies,

Thank you for agreeing to participate in a focus group for The Blend, an hour-long, inspirational, talk show. It features four accomplished African-American experts, Dr. Peace Amadi, a psychology professor, speaker, media expert, and writer; Dr. Tabatha Carr, leading authority in the field of women’s health and wellness, focusing on the extremely powerful and effective tools of natural medicine; Dr. Gloria A. Chance, a former CIO who is a creativity architect, and innovation psychologist; and, Jewell Diamond Taylor, "The Self-Esteem Dr.", a frequent conference keynote speaker, an emotional wellness educator, a women's life coach, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, spiritual faith builder, and author.

These dynamic women take an unapologetic approach and offer advice based on the whole person, acknowledging that everything that happens to you may be a result of experiences from your past or current situations in your present. They are digging deep into the “real you,” going beyond the surface, offering insight into the issues that you don’t see with the naked eye.

What sets The Blend apart is it's integration of the spirit, mind, and body into daily discourse.

To understand our audience a little more we are scheduling a 2 hour long focus group in Pasadena, California. We will eat, watch, and bond as we share our feelings about a truly transformative show. Your opinion and presence is appreciated!

Here are a few things you need to know.

1. The event will be held on the second floor of the CTRL Collective offices and there are no elevators so you will need to be prepared to take some very beautiful stairs.  If you have mobility related concerns please reach out to the focus group facilitator Allycin Powell-Hicks before hand. or (424) 272-0437

2.  Bring a laptop, tablet, or smartphone that is wifi accessible so you can complete the questionnaire on your device. If you don't have a wifi accessible device don't worry we will have some printed copies available as well.

3. Parking is free and can be found in the lot behind the building. You access it from Colorado Blvd just past the Chase Bank. It is the first drive way on your left, the gate arm may be down. In that instance ring the bell and ask for Dr. Ally.
